Dogs and Cats Take Over Bakery!

The bakery looks pretty normal from the outside on this rainy Saturday...however, when the door is flung open wide, the aroma of coffee and freshly baked bread wafts out, it becomes clear that something different has happened inside!

Colorful, active, sleepy, bright, sly, wet, playful dogs and cats cover the walls and windows! Artists Kelly Saxton and Jennifer Hanson breathe life into all these wonderful four-legged creatures. What a treat to admire the diverse expressions on the faces of each animal while you are having lunch!

Kelly lives with a crazy array of flora and fauna and exhibits locally, nationally, and internationally mixed media landscapes and animal portraits. Her art background includes an MFA from Pratt Institute and more work can be viewed on her website at ksaxton.com

Jennifer is a glass mosaic recycle artist using old windows from barns, scrap stained glass and grout to create her fantastically detailed and lively portraits. Her biggest inspiration comes from her 6 year old daughter Cordelia Blue and you can find more about her life and work on her website shatteredportraits.com.

  1. This is not about dogs and cats; this is about your thank you note to me about my book, Extraordinary Groups--The one purchased by Wayne Elliot. You are most thoughtful to send me a note. We authors are always curious about the hands (and minds) that eventually receive our books. Geoff Bellman
